Name | Poverty Status of Individuals |
Summary | Individuals below poverty level by age, education, employment status, gender, race, and ethnicity |
Additional Background | This database contains population and poverty status of individuals by age, race, ethnicity, educational attainment, employment status, and work experience. Data are available for the United States, states, counties, cities, ZIP Codes, and Census Tracts. The source for these data is American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates. Time periods reflect calendar years.
Areas reflect those contained in the March 2020 Office of Management and Budget (OMB) delineations of metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas. In certain instances, the names, codes, and boundaries of the principal cities shown in ACS tables may differ from the OMB delineations due to differences in the effective dates of the geographic entities. Estimates of urban and rural populations, housing units, and characteristics reflect boundaries of urban areas defined based on Census 2010 data. As a result, data for urban and rural areas from the ACS do not necessarily reflect the results of ongoing urbanization
