Additional Background | This database contains Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions for all U.S. states and territories from 1990 to the present. Data are available by gas and source or by IPCC sector. (Sectors include energy, industrial processes and product use, agriculture, waste; data are also provided for Land Use, Land Use Change, and Forestry, i.e., LULUCF emissions and sinks.). Emissions are reported in million metric tons; per capita emissions are reported in metric tons. Note that these values may differ from those produced independently by states and territories.
