The Gini Coefficient (or Index) measures income inequality for households.  The coefficient ranges from 0 (perfect equality) to 1 (perfect inequality).  

 

Zip codes reported reflect Zip Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTA), which are different from ZIP Codes used by the U.S. Postal Service.
